Water Jet
Water jet cutting technology is available at Flanco to provide cutting ability without a heat byproduct that could damage a material’s inherent structure. While not as precise as wire cut EDM or laser cutting, water jet cutting still provides cuts intricate enough for Flanco to provide custom tile cutting and designs as one of its unique services. The water jet cutting machine is useful when working with materials as common as sponge, glass or stone to manganese and stainless steel.
“Driven by the high pressure intensifier, our water jet produces 48,000 psi. Mixed with an abrasive to aid in cutting, we can cut glass, titanium, metals, foams and rubber. This is a great addition to our group of precision cutters.”
Chris Flanary, Computer Operations Manager
