The full service tooling department is where Flanco’s skilled machinists really shine. Flanco can engineer or recreate almost any part or punch press die with or without the technical drawing required for CNC machines. Flanco’s tool and die makers can craft steel-on-steel tooling, steel-on-steel rule tooling and steel-rule dies as intricate as 4 or 5-stage progressive dies or as simple as outside-dimension-inside-dimension (ODID) or single-stage dies.

“Many machine shops that have punch presses don’t offer a tooling department. Tool and die makers are a dying breed, and it’s a highly skilled position. Our tool and die makers assemble the pieces to a machining puzzle. They can take a part, make a print for the part and create it. This offers a higher level of service for clients who may not have a drawing for the part they need reproduced.”
